Golden Gate Connect ("we," "us") rents portable satellite-internet kits and provides managed event connectivity in the San Francisco Bay Area. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us — primarily through our quote, booking, and "venue signal check" forms:
- Your name, email address, and phone number;
- Event details you share — wedding/event date, venue or delivery location, and any notes about your needs.
We do not ask for, or want, payment-card numbers or other sensitive financial information through this site. If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry, check coverage for your location, and prepare a quote;
- To coordinate and deliver a rental or managed event you book;
- To follow up about your request and, with your consent, share availability or offers.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we use to run the business — for example, a form/email tool that delivers your message to us, or scheduling and payment processors once you book. These providers may only use the information to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and provide any service you book, plus a reasonable period for our records and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see below).
Your privacy rights
California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of it (we don't sell or share it for advertising). To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@goldengateconnect.com and we'll respond within the timeframes the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy as the business grows; we'll change the "last updated" date above when we do.
